Our Mission
PureInvest exists to make Shariah-compliant investing accessible to every Muslim investor. For too long, compliance analysis has been scattered across expensive fund managers, manual spreadsheets, and contradictory online forums.
The problem: Identifying whether a stock is halal requires digging through quarterly filings, calculating financial ratios against AAOIFI thresholds, and determining purification amounts — a process that demands both financial expertise and significant time.

Co-founder
Abdelrhman built PureInvest to solve his own frustration with the complexity of identifying Shariah-compliant stocks. After trying to manage his own portfolio, he realized that identifying exact revenue sources from quarterly filings and tracking financial ratios over time was simply too hard for individual investors.
Focus areas: Product development, AAOIFI methodology implementation, purification calculations.

Anas is driven by the desire to restore integrity and transparency to halal investing. He saw too many investors struggle with conflicting information about what constitutes a compliant investment and wanted to build a platform that removes ambiguity.

Our Approach
We use the AAOIFI methodology because it is the most widely adopted global standard for Shariah-compliant investing. Our approach is built on four principles:
- Automation: We automate what was previously manual — screening, ratio calculations, and purification amounts
- Transparency: Every compliance verdict comes with the data behind it, so you can verify our work
- Tax efficiency: Purification donations are tax-deductible, transforming compliance from a cost into community investment
- Honesty: We are transparent about our limitations — we are not financial advisors (see our terms of service)

Currently available: Stock screener and purification calculator for major US stocks, built on the AAOIFI Shariah Standard No. 21.
